The ORA Data Exchange (DX) enables FDA and regulatory partners to securely share food safety Sample Collections, Receipt and Analysis data on selected microbiological, chemical, and radiological analytes that could endanger the food supply and environment such as elements, pesticides, mycotoxins, microbiological, viruses, radionuclides, parasites, and decomposition in seafood.
This real-time data sharing initiative allows FDA to rapidly review shared analysis data to improve food safety testing efforts, assist in risk assessment analysis, increase efficiencies, and aid in timely and accurate regulatory decision making.
Sample Collections, Receipt and Analysis data can be submitted by:
- ORA Partners Portal (ORAPP) via an Excel spreadsheet file upload for Sample Collections and Sample Receipt and Analysis data (requires credentials)
- National Food Safety Data Exchange (NFSDX) via a back-end system-to-system interface (requires a cooperative agreement)
- Enhanced DX Client via a desktop application (installation file access requires credentials)
